He and his club have planned some awesome ideas including a forty-two (42) mile tractor ride along Puget Sound included in the ride will be a lunch in a state park! Keep watch at our Orange Spectacular website and their website www.psatma.com to see what other plans they have....It will be the 50th Anniversay of the D-21....so far they have committments of up to 20+, D-21's which are planned to be present. The plans are to have a "large" variety of some "bigger iron", too!

1/29 - Allis-Chalmers itself officially turned out the lights and locked the gates to the West Allis plant on January 29, 1989 - closing out a very long and storied chapter in American industrial history.
1/28 - Your club's secretary, Aaron Barneson was cutting wood in the past week. Below is his tractor and trailer of wood.

1/22 - This year, up for re-election will be Randy Larson AND we have an opening on the board, hence we will be electing someone new. Gary Agrimson is not running for re-election. Instead of nominating someone at the Annual Spring meeting and many of the voting members have no background on this nominee; the board is asking, anyone who is willing to run for this board position, send in a simple biography and explain "Why are you interested in running for this board position?
I would recommend the simple biography to list a). Name, b). address, c). a small history of your Allis-Chalmers background.
Some points to think about before you apply for the board opening:
1). Can you plan and attend board meetings in January, April, June, July, August and November?
2). Are you able to attend the annual the Orange Spectacular, become a coordinator of specific duty(ies) and follow through with your assignment?
3). Are you able to attend the Orange Spectacular and assist in set-up and tear-down, help with show activities /duties?
4). Will you promote an appreciation of Allis-Chalmers farm equipment with particular emphasis on antique tractors?
5). Are you an active and voting member of the Upper Midwest A-C Club?
6). Can you delegate by resolution certain duties and responsibilities of the corporation to the membership?
7). Will you establish and maintain governing policies of the corporation?
If you are interested and can answer "yes" to all of the above questions, please email your information to me at rlarson@orangespectacular.com or mail me your "nomination"/ informational papers to me at Randy Larson, 4573 110th St. Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
Once received, I will forward your information to our board members, post your information on this website (ONLY with your approval) and at the Annual Spring meeting, April 14, for the membership to review.
Nominees need to be present for the vote.
Please consider this opportunity to help continue the importance of the Upper Midwest A-C Club and continue the Orange Spectacular into the future.

1/21 - Attention - Gary Agrimson is need of HELP!! Gary has much of his equipment stored about four (4) miles from the show grounds. Usually, it took Gary and others about a day to drive equipment from storage to the previous show grounds. NOW, it will take longer and our show is depending more of us to help drive/bring/deliver his equipment to the new show grounds....and let's not forget he will need just as much help to return the equipment, too. Please give Gary a call as soon as possible at (763) 566- 3446 and plan to give a couple of hours to add, Gary's collection of historical equipment, to the Orange Spectacular. Your time and dedication will be much appreciated by the club and 5000+ guests from many states!!

1/7/2012 - The Orange Spectacular needs your help! One of the many field activities, this year's show, will include a LETTER SERIES PLOWING TEAM. This would be an exhibition of coordinated participants where letter model tractors- with a plow - would line up in alphabetical order and plow in unison. If you would like to participate and be part of this special event, please contact the coordinator for this event...Joe Graunke at jgraunke@orangespectacular.com (715) 948-2858. Participants will be selected in a first come- first served order.
1/3/12 - We are always looking for new activities for our show. I have made contact with a person who belongs to a national club which has a website of the National Micro-Mini Tractor Pullers Association. He tells me it is too far away to travel with their club. If you have any contacts that are associated with such a club, ask them if there would be an interest to attend the Orange Spectacular. Checkout this exciting sport http://www.nmmtpapullers.com/ Toy trucks can be monified for this sport, too.1/2/12 - Just added thirty (30) new videos to the "Youtube" link found on this page, down the left side. Enjoy!! Happy New Year

December 23 - This posting is an explainantion from one of the Toy Committee members of the Upper Midwest A-C Club. I am posting this due to our committee member - Rich Martin.
1. Minimum order is 600 units which is a change from 500.
2. Try to keep the cost around $100.
3. Based on past experience sales for a given AC Resin Model is around a maximum of 600 units.
4. Pick a model that has not been made before.
5. Cost of producing this year’s model has gone up over 15%.
In the past we made a RC model that was made before. We had inventory on hand for 1 and ½ years of this model. That was when the minimum order was 500.
The quote we received for a CA with no implement for 600 units far exceeded $100. In order to get this price around $100 per unit we would have to make 1000 units. Due to the fact that the CA has been made before and our past sales experience, we didn’t think that this was a good business decision. The CA with a grain drill far exceeded the $100.
Our next step was to get a quote for a AC 5050 model. It was determine that we could have three models made with slight modifications to the mold, different fenders, front wheel assist, two wheel model and a 5040 with a maroon belly. The three models we received a quote on are the 5040, 5045 and the 5050. The three units would take us up to 1000 units. The cost per unit will be less if we make all three at one time vs making a model each year. The selling price will be around $110 per unit.
We discussed this project with our president, other board members and we all decided to move forward with the 5000 series. However, with all the current discussion on this project we have put this project on hold with discussion to drop making a model this year. Rich Martin
Next week, I will be posting new pictures of the show. If you see any pictures you would like to be emailed to you, please contact me at rlarson@orangespectacular.com and I will send you a copy.
December 6 - It's a sad day in history, today! December 6, 1985....Allis-Chalmers closed the doors :(
The more the reason the Orange Spectacular, Upper Midwest A-C Club and many other Allis- Chalmers clubs, nation and worldwide, need to stay in existence and continue the pride we all carry as we collect, maintain and restore the orange color along with the Allis-Chalmers name.
