After the dew is off the wheat to 5 p.m. - The field demos start! The combine models that you will see operate is a Model 40, 60, Camelback, 60A, 66, 72, 90 and a 100.
We also have a Model 60 that is see-through. Yes, it has sheets of acrylic that are replaced the panels of the original sheet metal. Wheat is feed into the head, you can walk around, watch the stalks go though all working parts of the combine, eventually see the straw come over the walkers and out.
Not all of the wheat is harvested using combines. Watch an Allis-Chalmers threshing machine which is run by a WC with a belt to harvest the grain.
After the straw is laid on the ground, we will use a model 7 side delivery rake and a parallel bar rake, then comes the balers. Roto-balers hit the field to start "round baling" After some of the roto-bales are lying on the round; a roto-bale loader makes a few passes around the field. Eventually, a 303 and 442 square baler makes a few passes.
After the field is clear, as the stubble is standing, in come the plows. It starts with an organized "plowing team" of the letter series. That would be a display of the lettered tractors Allis-Chalmers made starting with the UC's.
After plowing 10 acres (give or take) out come the disks, drags, chisel plows, etc....
